A Year of EnergyCAP Change & Innovation

Tuesday, September 1, 2020

The Year 2020 is sure to go down in EnergyCAP’s history as memorable. The tragic, disruptive, and costly worldwide pandemic naturally jumps to mind first, but we’ve also celebrated many unprecedented bright spots in 2020—our 40th anniversary year!

We’ve moved! We are very excited to begin operations in our state-of-the-art, 20,000-square-foot headquarters building this month.

Our new address is:

EnergyCAP, Inc.

> New Logo and Icons
Our 40-year anniversary year is a great occasion to modernize our logo. You’ll see the new design very soon within the EnergyCAP application, on our website, and everywhere else our logo appears, like on the front of our headquarters (above).

EnergyCAPIconIn addition to the new logo shown above, you will also see this icon. The EnergyCAP icon—along with other newly-designed graphics—will debut in the September 7th release of EnergyCAP Version 7.9.

> EnergyCAP Version 3 Sunset
Out with the old. In with the new.

September 7, 2020—just six days from now—is the last day for hosted users to access EnergyCAP Version 3. If you have not yet fully transitioned your users and daily processes from Version 3 to the exclusive use of Version 7, now is the time to complete the move.

Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about upgrading to Version 7 prior to next week’s sunset.

> No go for in-person Catalyst. Go for online EnergyCAP Academy.
The pandemic forced us to cancel the greatly anticipated April Catalyst conference, along with other in-person training opportunities. In response, we created EnergyCAP Academy, a collection of online training courses and lessons that EnergyCAP users can complete at their own pace.

The EnergyCAP Academy courses are an easy and convenient way for you and your co-workers to develop Version 7 skills and earn Professional Development Hours (PDH).

You can learn more about the Academy courses and other valuable EnergyCAP services by viewing the Customer Services Catalog in our Help Center.

> FedRAMP Marketplace
Independently verified compliance with strict federal information security regulations are a gold standard for software. After a two-year effort to upgrade and certify software, policies, testing protocols, cloud hosting environment, internal networks, and even building physical security, EnergyCAP is now the only energy information software in its class to be listed in the FedRAMP Marketplace.

The Marketplace listing, in conjunction with our GSA contract, makes it easier than ever for federal agencies and other publicly funded organizations to license and implement EnergyCAP.

> Expanded Hosting Options
We continue to expand our secure hosting environments to meet the ever-changing demands of our varied customer base. We now offer four hosting service tiers: Standard, Advanced, Optimum, and FedRAMP-Gov.

> Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)
Our Bill CAPture service was launched in 2015, and the scope of available services has grown considerably over the past five years. Focusing initially on obtaining and processing utility bills, Bill CAPture added an Account Management service in 2019 and now completes the BPO loop by offering utility bill payment processing.

Contact us to learn more about how Bill CAPture can help you and your organization operate more efficiently.

What a year it has been. And it isn’t over yet. Watch for future announcements as we continue to enhance and innovate to improve your EnergyCAP experience.

John Heinz
