Customer Service Messages / April 9, 2019: EnergyCAP Failover Test—Server Outages
In January 2018, we announced the release of EnergyCAP Version 7, the seventh generation of EnergyCAP. We stated at that time that Version 7 would eventually replace EnergyCAP Version 3, and we’re pleased to let you know that a sunset date for Version 3 has now been established.
The sunset date for EnergyCAP Version 3 is June 30, 2020.
What does sunset mean? It means that June 30, 2020 is the last day for users to access or obtain support for EnergyCAP Version 3.x.
We recognize that our customers are in varying stages of transition to Version 7. Many organizations have already upgraded and are benefitting from the new technology, while others have postponed the upgrade until their required functionality is available in Version 7. For those that are still relying on Version 3, be assured that we are here to help you make the transition efficiently and with minimal disruption.
We have prepared resources to aid you in the upgrade process, including an Upgrade Readiness Checklist and Frequently Asked Questions to address many, or all, of the questions we anticipate you having related to the sunsetting of Version 3. The resources are accessible from one location, our new Help Center. From the Help Center, you can also register for our upcoming webinar, titled Making a Smooth Transition to EnergyCAP Version 7, to be held May 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM, and we encourage you to contact us if you have additional questions or concerns, or would like to schedule a time to discuss your specific upgrade path with a member of our Customer Success staff.
